Double-S-posure > In nature, boundaries are usually gradual; one thing blends into another. On the other hand, man-made boundaries are finite; they have a definite beginning and end. Here, a snow fence protects its designated area from one point to another. The snow respects that, to a degree, but doesn't mind crossing the line, for a distance.
