Double-S-posure > Thunder Mounds
The mid-morning sun provides form and texture to the mounds of snow on the rocks in Thunder Creek while the dark water adds contrast to the otherwise white scene.

Double-S-posure > The Color of Winter:
During winter, when the sky is usually overcast, colors are drab and lifeless. When the sun does come out, colors pop. The clear blue sky is reflected in the snow. The early morning sun touches everything in its path with a warm, yellow glow. All these elements compete for our attention if only we would stop to look.

Mid-winter. Everything's frozen solid.

Double-S-posure > Drip Drop
Water drops falling off a melting icicle.
Trying to time the water drops was difficult. All told, I took 105 exposures. This was the best one.

Double-S-posure > Hanging On
These berries are still hanging on, long after the others have dropped off. They look as good as they did when they were formed.

Double-S-posure > Winter Grass
Ice captures blades of grass on Flat Rock.

Double-S-posure > Moonscape.
Although the image was captured in late afternoon, on an overcast day, some fairly radical adjustments in Photoshop, turned it into a pseudo moonscape.
